I became a monk in 371 A.D. By 388 A.D. I was Archimandrite and abbot of a double monastery near Atrib (Atripe), Kemet.
My uncle, Plog had originally established one of them. There, 3200 monks and nuns worshiped Christ. I went with St. Cyril of Alexandria to the Council of Ephesus, 431 A.D., as a delegate. Cyril of Alexandria, appointed me archimandrite.
Reportedly, I was a hard man. I disliked false and self-ascetism and false mysticism. I died in or about 466 A.D. at one of the monasteries I administered. The diptychs of the Coptic Church mentions me. 1 July.
